A hearty welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bharat College of Engineering, Badlapur(West).  The department runs two undergraduate programs viz. Mechanical Engineering, The department vision is to be excellence in value based on Mechanical Engineering Education.

The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty. The department strives to impart knowledge and training of the highest standard. The objective of the department is to prepare students for a successful career in Industry, Research and Academics to meet the needs of growing technology. Our efforts are to develop the ability among students to synthesize data and technical concepts for application to product design. We provide an opportunity for students to work as members of a team on multidisciplinary projects. The Mechanical engineering department provides students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies as well as research. We promote student awareness for life-long learning and to introduce them to professional ethics and codes.

Mechanical Engineering programme emphasizes industrial training to students within four years of the study. Students are placed for training in the industry as per the curriculum of Mumbai University. The student learns industrial practices and also professional ethics.

For the overall development of the student; department of mechanical engineering has formulated a Mechanical Engineering Students association i.e. MESA. Various activities of these chapters provide students to gain knowledge and interact with students and staff of other colleges/universities as well as Industry Engineers. Students have taken part in various competitions and won top positions in competitions.

Students of Mechanical department also bagged prizes in academics as well in co-curricular activities. Students secured prizes at university level examinations, at Mumbai University examinations. Students showcase their talent in various sports and intercollegiate technical events and bag prizes.

Our graduates are working in Multinational Companies, Defense Services, and Academic Institutions in India and abroad. Last but not least our Technical supporting staff is unique in its own way. Students, as well as visitors, find them very friendly, amicable and highly intelligent!

Program Outcomes

  • 1. Engineering Knowledge: Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of Mathematics, Science and Engineering in appropriate fields of engineering practice.
  • 2. Problem Analysis: Graduates will demonstrate ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems.
  • 3. Design / Development of solutions: Graduates will demonstrate and ability to gain the fundamental concepts of Circuit design, Digital System Design & implement them in Modern technology
  • 4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Graduate will demonstrate and ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • 5. Modern tool usage: An ability to use the technique, skill and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: To solve complex Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering problems using  analytic skills and modern tools to arrive at viable and cost-effective solutions.

PSO2: To Produce motivated Electronics &Telecommunication engineers with the skills and ability to design, simulate and analyze software & hardware models that lead to the development of solution prototypes.

Program Educational Outcomes

PEO1: To Produce Electronics & Tele-Communication engineers with a strong practical and theoretical exposure which are able to contribute to society through innovation, enterprise and leadership.

PEO2: To make students to innovate design, simulate develop and test hardware and software components for offering solution to real life situations.

PEO3: To enable students to analyze and solve Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering problems by applying basic principles of Mathematics, Technology and also able to use modern engineering techniques, skills and tools.

PEO4: To develop necessary professional skills of learner along with effective oral and written communication skills.

  • The students of the department are well placed in industry and have established themselves as successful engineers during previous years.
  • Apart from the achievement in the academic performance the students of our department have presented papers, participated in various National level competitions at premium institutions and brought laurels to the college by winning the awards.
